Lilith is described as being a beautiful woman adept at seduction. Most notable is her long hair, which she uses to ensnare men.

Purpose/Role:

  • Depraved and sexually shameless
  • Known for her proclivity for abducting newborn babies during the night and also causing epilepsy in children
  • Most know Lilith as Eve’s predecessor, i.e. Adam’s first wife
    • It is said that Lilith was made from the same clay as Adam whereas Eve was made from one of Adam’s ribs
    • Lilith abandoned Adam after refusing to become subservient to him
    • She did not return to the Garden of Eden until after she had partnered with the archangel Samael
