Appearance:
Incubi are usually depicted as frightening or demonic, with bird-like claws and/or serpentine tails, as well as large bat-like wings.
Purpose/Role:
- Seduce and drive women to insanity or cause severe mental deterioration, perhaps even death, through repeated rape and/or consensual sex
- These women occasionally bear the children of incubi, a type of demon-mortal hybrid known as a cambion (cf. Asmodeus)
- Goad women into committing sinful sexual acts and leading them into lives of temptation and licentiousness
